I took Thursday off, and it was the right decision. I went to the SchwabenQuellen in the SI-Centrum in Stuttgart-Möhringen, on a day when the Egyptian area belongs to the ladies alone.
The phone stayed in the locker. After a week of appointments and emails, that did me more good than any infusion ceremony.
The place is a small journey through sauna cultures, from Finland to Tibet, spread over three levels, with more than thirty ceremonies a day. I picked two and eventually stopped counting. In the ladies' area the tone is different: quieter, unhurried, nobody has anything to prove. You lie there, drink tea, say nothing, and no one expects conversation.
It struck me how rarely I take hours like these. Whoever runs a house like PURE is always reachable, which is exactly why this Thursday was so valuable. The same goes for you, dear ladies: give yourselves time that belongs to nobody but you.
If you'd like it on a grander scale: December 2 is Ladies Day, when the entire SchwabenQuellen belongs to women. I've already marked it in my diary.
Afterwards I switched the phone back on. It didn't even grumble. Stuttgart can be remarkably quiet when you don't answer it for a few hours.
Discreetly yours,
Lena
