There's a place in Stuttgart I used to drive to often, back when a day with the agency had been particularly stressful. The Feuersee. I'd park, leave both my private phone and my agency phone in the car, and simply walk along the water alone for fifteen, twenty minutes. No ringing, no messages — just me and this small lake in the middle of the city, with the church reflected in the water.
There's something magical about being there. I can't quite explain why — but it grounds me instantly, every single time. Even now, when I merely drive past the Feuersee, that same good feeling settles in immediately. Some places just carry something within them that stays.

In autumn, when the leaves around it turn a deep golden brown and the evening light softens, the place is even more beautiful than usual. A quiet walk along the water, perhaps a short stop at one of the small cafés in Stuttgart's western district before or after — that's exactly the kind of moment that stays with you long after the evening has ended.
Sometimes it isn't the loud, elaborate plans that make an evening special. Sometimes a quiet place, a little time, and the right company are enough.
