Girlfriend Experience or Pornstar Experience? Be honest.

GFE or PSE: two abbreviations that keep turning up in enquiries. I did my reading, asked the ladies, and sorted what belongs to closeness and what belongs to the show. Now it's your turn: which appeals to you more?

Two abbreviations land in my inbox more often than you might think: GFE and PSE. Some gentlemen write them down like an order number. So I did my reading on what the industry means by them, and I asked the ladies what is left of it in real life.

First, so there is no misunderstanding: both are labels, not promises. PURE has no menu and no list of services. What develops between two adults over an evening is the lady's decision, and it is discussed beforehand. Protection is as much a matter of course as punctuality.

Girlfriend Experience: the feeling that someone truly looked forward to you

It includes:

• Time instead of a stopwatch. No glancing at the clock, but an evening with a run-up and an afterglow. One of the reasons we set two hours as the minimum.
• Conversation. She asks about your day and listens to the answer.
• Shared surroundings. A glass of wine, a dinner, a walk, laughter together.
• Tenderness. Closeness that does not rush: a kiss that takes its time, and cuddling afterwards.
• Naturalness. She stays herself and does not play a part.

One detail from my research surprised me: whoever wants to truly experience the girlfriend experience has to bring something of their own. Attentiveness only works in both directions. That matches what the ladies tell me. You do not hold a conversation with a backdrop.

Pornstar Experience: the stage instead of the living room

It includes:

• Presence. Styling with intent, a look that wants to be seen.
• Confidence. She knows how she comes across and sets the pace.
• Role and fantasy. A hint of script, a costume, a game with expectations.
• Directness. Less run-up, more momentum.
• Intensity. Energy and a love of performance instead of quiet undertones.

Put very briefly: one is closeness, the other is show. One researcher described it, roughly, as the difference between emotional, mental labour on one side and physical, stage labour on the other.

In practice the two are rarely separated so neatly. Some gentlemen wish for a girlfriend experience "with a touch of PSE". One lady can do that effortlessly, another not at all. Both are perfectly fine. What matters is that it suits the lady and not the label.

And now it is your turn. I would like to hear it from you, honestly and anonymously: what appeals to you more, the woman who shares the evening with you, or the one who stages it? Cast your vote below. You will read the result here.

Discreetly yours,
Lena
